Marissa Irvine

Marissa is an experienced clinician equipped with skills and knowledge to work with individuals across the life span.  She has a special interest in working with children but values the diversity of working with all age ranges in her private practice work.  Her experience has come from working in areas of public health (including Child & Youth Mental Health, Rural Allied Health and pain services) and private practice.  Marissa works predominantly within a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy framework but has also completed post graduate studies in Family Therapy.  Working collaboratively with clients is a strong priority for Marissa.  She acknowledges that individuals come with their own strengths and coping abilities and enjoys working with clients to build upon these strengths and abilities to achieve their goals.

Outside of work Marissa tries to practice what she teaches by setting and achieving personal goals.  Family time, fitness and yoga, painting, and spending time with friends are also things she values and makes time for.
