Workplace Injury Prevention Services
Musculoskeletal disorders are still the most common cause of workplace injuries and workers compensation claims in Australia. On average, we lose six weeks every time a serious claim is recorded, as well as thousands of dollars from our bottom line in compensation claims and internal overheads.
At Construct Health, we deliver strategies and programmes designed at injury prevention, to keep your workforce healthier and happier. Our services include:
Switch On Pre and Re-start exercise program
A combination of stretching, functional movements and cognitive exercises for the mind, designed to create some foundational good habits amongst the team. Our program includes training some internal Switch On champions to ensure long-lasting results.
Movements and Behavioural-based in-field engagement
Completed in the work environment for optimal uptake and minimal disruption to workforce productivity. Our engagement helps educate both individuals and small work groups on how to prevent injury through improved body movement.
Participatory Ergonomics training
Our Participatory Ergonomics training can be implemented at any worker level, from ground staff to management level to help identify, asses and control manual task risks. This training program can be used as both a measuring and re-measuring tool or the ongoing manual task risks within your business.
Job-specific pre-employment physical assessment
Ensuring a potential employee’s able to effectively meet the specific requirements of their potential role is critical in ensuring the right fit between the employee and employer. We help to develop the job specific physical assessments to ensure customised standards are implemented across the business to mitigate risk and ensure the health and wellness of all potential new starters.
Office Ergonomic assessments
Office Ergonomics is of vital importance in the current workplace environment due to the negative affects on our musculoskeletal systems when we experience stresses due to awkward posture, repeated movements or extreme operating environments. We help to assess the workplace conditions, inclusive of seating positions, office equipment and desk layouts.
In-Cab Ergonomic assessments
Much like office ergonomics, in-cab (vehicle) ergonomic assessments decrease the injury risks created by employees who spend time behind the wheel each day. Our assessments are not simply focused on full-time drivers, we look at the entire employee base who drive a vehicle. We spend time looking at seating positions, vehicle access and egress to deliver a job risk analysis and subsequent training / exercise programme.
Health and Wellness Digital Content
Digital content is the ideal way to support our face-to-face activities. We provide a calendar year of health and wellness content to help employers have perpetual activity driving good injury prevention activities. We deliver our digital content via a series of short videos which can be accessed daily by the wider team. The ideal way to deliver cost-effective health and wellness content all year round.
