Physiotherapist – Clinic Team Lead and Clinical Director
Zak is a physiotherapist in our Emerald clinic and Construct Health’s Clinical Director.
Zak is an experienced physiotherapist having graduated from Auckland University of Technology (AUT) in New Zealand in 2009, he has over a decade of experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
In 2019 Zak completed a Master of Health Practice at AUT, culminating in his research being published in British Medical Journal Open Sport and Exercise Medicine.
Zak has a particular area of interest in knee injuries and post-operative rehabilitation following knee surgery, with his area of research being ACL injury.
He has also completed additional training in sports physiotherapy, paediatric physiotherapy and tendon injury management.
Zak strives to provide quality healthcare to the region.
Alongside his role as a physiotherapist, he is a Director and Chair of the Board for Central Queensland Rural Health, a not-for-profit organisation aimed at achieving excellence and sustainability in rural healthcare.
Outside of healthcare Zak loves his sport, and is an active participant in sport in the Central Highlands.
You’ll be able to find him on most Saturday’s in the winter at the local rugby field, coaching the Emerald Ram’s rugby union side.
